ON THE OCCASION OF VIETNAMESE TEACHER’S DAY WE LEARNT ABOUT TEACHER CHU VAN AN
On the occasion of the Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20, and the hope that the students will understand much more about the tradition of respecting teachers and studious through the example of teacher Chu Van An, the Thăng Long Scouts group consisting of students aged 8 to 10 years old participated in the heritage education program "Learning about Teacher Chu Van An through the magic crossword" at Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám.
Although the program lasted for 90 minutes, it was an interesting and exciting experience. The children gained more knowledge about the life and career of Teacher Chu Văn An, a talented and respectful teacher of the Vietnamese nation. He has devoted his whole life for the education and training talented men for the nation.
The 3rd grade Vân Khanh, from Nguyễn Siêu Primary School said: “I really enjoy the heritage education experience program. We participated in a crossword puzzle about teacher Chu Văn An, and a very interesting woodblock printing activity". Nguyễn Minh Châu from Mai Dịch Primary School said: “I am very happy to answer questions about Teacher Chu Văn An. And I llike printing in the traditional way by myself. Today, I printed the “Virtue” character to give to my mother".
At the end of the program, all students had products to take home. Especially they understood more about teacher Chu Văn An which helps them to be more proud of the traditions of respecting teachers and the talents of the Vietnamese nation.
