LEARNING ABOUT GREAT PERSONALITIES THROUGH HERITAGE EDUCATION PROGRAM
The special National Landmark Văn Miếu-Quốc Tử Giám is where 82 stone steles, the world documentary heritage to record the names of doctors of the Lê and Mạc dynasties, have been preserved. On the stele are the names and hometowns of 1,304 doctors who passed examinations held between 1442 and 1779. Many of the Doctors have made great contributions to the country like historian Ngô Sĩ Liên, scientist Lê Quý Đôn, mathematician Lương Thế Vinh, Two-nation Trạng nguyên Nguyễn Trực..(Trạng nguyên, an academic title given to the best candidate in a Royal exam)...
With the desire to create opportunities for students so that they can learn about famous people whose names are engraved on stelae, the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Văn Miếu-Quốc Tử Giám has designed an educational program named "Ring the golden bell: learning about Great Personalities".
Below are the 4th grade students of Primary Vinschool Gardenia participating in the above mentioned educational program held at the Văn Miếu-Quốc Tử Giám.
