LET'S EXPLORE THE ARTIFACTS IN THE EXHIBITION " PROLEGOMENON TO THE TRADITION OF EDUCATION IN VIETNAM "

To help visitors understand more about the revered historical figures currently being worshiped at the Thai Hoc area, the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám has created an exhibition space with the theme " Prolegomenon To The Tradition Of Education In Vietnam."

The " Prolegomenon To The Tradition Of Education In Vietnam " exhibition features over 300 documents and artifacts, divided into four sections that trace the life and contributions to education of King Lý Thánh Tông, Lý Nhân Tông, Lê Thánh Tông, teacher Chu Văn An, and influential figures like Queen Y Lan, scholar Lê Văn Thịnh, Thân Nhân Trung, Lương Thế Vinh...

The documents and artifacts are presented in various forms, on traditional materials such as bamboo and wood, creating a sense of closeness and friendliness. Items like the students' desks or the desks in the study rooms of the kings are displayed to convey the spirit of these historical figures regarding the effort to strive and the spirit of learning across all layers of society in the feudal system. Illustrations of historical events are vividly recreated, along with the color scheme used in the exhibition space, which will evoke memories of past dynasties for visitors.

Entering the exhibition space, visitors will immerse themselves in an ancient, solemn atmosphere, transcending time to learn about the predecessors. The " Prolegomenon To The Tradition Of Education In Vietnam." exhibition in the Thái Học courtyard of Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám is a permanent display, so be sure to visit when you come to see the monument. Below are some images of documents and artifacts in the exhibition space.
