FOREIGN VISITORS ENJOY EXPLORING THE CALLIGRAPHY EXHIBITION
The calligraphy exhibition by two artists from Ho Chi Minh City, Lưu Thanh Hải and Huỳnh Mỹ Lý, took place from August 12th to September 15th, 2023, at the Thái Học house, a historical site within Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám. It attracted special attention from the public, including many tourists from various countries around the world.
As a passionate lover of calligraphy art, Mr. James from London spent a long time admiring the calligraphy artworks. He enthusiastically shared, "This is my first time visiting Vietnam and Văn Miếu, and the calligraphy exhibition here is truly impressive. The displayed artworks are all beautiful and carry significant meanings. If I have the chance, I will come back to learn more about Vietnamese culture and calligraphy art."
Meanwhile, Ms. Natasha from the Republic of Slovenia shared that she really enjoyed the calligraphy artworks in the exhibition's display space, describing them as resembling paintings. For her, Vietnamese culture has many interesting aspects to discover and explore.
The exhibition showcases over 50 artworks that convey the beauty of brush strokes, ink traces, the emotions in calligraphy, and the diverse and rich expressive forms of writing by the two artists.
