FOREIGN VISITORS ENJOY THE EXHIBITION “A DIALOGUE BETWEEN CALLIGRAPHY AND GRAFFITI”
From August 26 to September 30, 2022, visitors will be able to visit the Exhibition, “A dialogue between Calligraphy and Graffiti” taking place in the front building of the Thái Học courtyard at the Văn Miếu-Quốc Tử Giám landmark. This combination of art is new and attractive for foreign tourists, who are already familiar with Graffiti art. However, they find it fascinating when the Western art can exchange and have a dialogue with Oriental calligraphy.
Most foreign tourists are very interested in the harmonious blend of these two different art forms. Especially when they are displayed at a cultural and educational place like Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám. Mr. Adrian Bogdan from Romania said: “It’s a mix of art between of 2 generation. Graffiti is a form of art that you can see almost anywhere on the streets in my country…”
Mr. Lukasz, a Graffiti artist from Poland said: “There is no calligraphy in my country, so I find it very interesting. This combination makes me feel overwhelmed. This is an amazing exhibition, a stunning performance”
Mr. Mattias from Switzerland mentioned: “It is very nice to see the fusion of Graffiti style and Vietnamese signs together. This at a very special place where we can learn some of the different between cultures. It is a very nice project. Congratulations!”
The Calligraphy and Graffiti Dialogue Exhibition will last until September 30, 2022.
