CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE SPRING CALLIGRAPHY FESTIVAL 2024 AT VĂN LAKE, VĂN MIẾU – QUỐC TỬ GIÁM
On the afternoon of the 9th day of Tet (February 18, 2024), the closing ceremony of the Spring Calligraphy Festival 2024 took place at Văn Lake, Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám. With the theme of "Studiousness", the Spring Calligraphy Festival 2024 highlights the tradition of filial piety, honoring the thousand-year-old traditional values of our nation. The calligraphy festival lasted for 2 weeks, attracting an estimated hundreds of thousands of visitors and tourists.
At the closing ceremony, 28 authors of Han Nom calligraphy and 18 authors of Vietnamese calligraphy had their calligraphic works displayed at the festival and received certificates from the organizing committee. The Spring Calligraphy Festival at Văn Lake, Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám not only attracted the attention of calligraphers from the northern region but also saw the participation of calligraphy enthusiasts from the southern and central regions as well as foreigners.
The Spring Calligraphy Festival 2024 has ended with many remarkable achievements and positive effects in the early days of the new year. This year's Spring Calligraphy Festival also marks significant changes towards becoming an annual cultural event of significance for Hanoi during the Lunar New Year.
