HE CONTACT WITH THE HERITAGE OF VIETNAM AND JAPAN’S AT VĂN MIẾU – QUỐC TỬ GIÁM
Two events marking 50th anniversary of Vietnam – Japan diplomatic relations, held in Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám at the same time: “Bonsan”comedy performance and exhibition of traditional Japanese Nohgaku masks.
The events showed an ancient culture as well as a feature of Japan adopting an ancient space of Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám. This was an opportunity for comers to figure out similar intersection of culture between Vietnam and Japan. Ambassador of Japan in Vietnam – Mr. Yamada Takio shared that: “I feel Vietnamese and Japanese having a similar amusement, so I had an idea to organize this event to bring laughter to Vietnamese audiences and Japanese audiences.”
Director of the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám -.PhD. Lê Xuân Kiêu emphasized that “Kyogen performance is compared with the contact and connection with heritage of Vietnam and Japan’s in the Special National Relic Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám in which 82 stone stelae – The World Documentary Heritage preserved
“Bonsan” comedy will have been being performed at 7:00 p.m till the end of May 12
Exhibition of Nohgaku masks will have been being opened for free from 3pm to 5pm till the end of May 12
