WOMEN FRIENDS OF HERITAGE PROMOTE THEIR NEW ORGANIZATION AT VAN MIEU – QUOC TU GIAM

On June, 26, 2020,  a ceremony honoring the newly estblished Women Friends of Heritage took place.  This organization is a volunteer, non-profit organization which provides social activities for the purpose of preservation of cultural heritage and stable development of a nation.

Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Hang – Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Communist Party, permanent Deputy Secretary of city party committee in Hanoi; Ms. Hoang Thi Ai Nhien – Permanent Deputy Secretary of Vietnam Women’s Union; PhD. Trinh Thi Thuy – Deputy Minister of Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism; Pro. PhD Luu Tran Tieu – Chairman of Vietnam Cultural Heritage union; AsPro. PhD. Do Van Tru – Permanent Vice Chairman of Vietnam Cultural Heritage uninon; AsPro. PhD Dang Van Bai – Vice chairman of Vietnam Cultural Heritage union and leaders of Departments of Culture and Sport and leaders of museums and historical sites throughout the  country and professors and businessmen and the head of Women Friends of Heritage and members were also present.

Women Friends of Heritage was founded in order to promote women’s role in the preservation of Vietnamese cultural heritage.

Dr. Dang Thi Bich Lien – Former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism – Chairman of Women Friends with Heritage shared that cultural heritage of Vietnam is a treasure and provides strength and motivation  for future generations. Everyone has a strong attachment to heritage. Every Vietnamese takes responsibility  for the preservation of cultural heritage for future generations.

At the ceremony, Board of Directors of Women Friends of Heritage was introduced to the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activity Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam, Korea Resource Culture Institute, Management and Preservation of the Cultural Heritage complex of Hoi An... These organizations will partner with Women  Friends of Heritage in the future to offer activities and promote the value of cultural heritage.

Thus far, the club has attracted over 100 members since Women Friends of Heritage was established. Membership is diverse, and includes businesswomen, teachers, professors, leaders of museums and , historical sites. The goal is to shared experience, and knowledge of culture.

          All Vietnamese women who are fond of cultural heritage can join and  exchange their experiences about the importance of preservation and development cultural heritage.
