VĂN MIẾU - QUỐC TỬ GIÁM UPGRADES SERVICE THROUGH SPECIAL SOUVENIR PRODUCTS
Currently, as the Covid-19 epidemic still looms over the global economy, many areas are seriously affected, especially the tourism industry. Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám has constantly been trying to improve its service so as to meet the increasing demands of visitors, in hope that the epidemic will soon cease and cultural tourism will revive. One of those services is to provide specialized souvenirs that manifest the unique values of the site.

In order to create these specialized products, the designers have added a contemporary touch to the unique patterns of VM-QTG along with images of the Vietnamese academic traditions to create a new representation for Văn Miếu’s souvenir products. These products are manufactured in traditional villages of Hanoi particularly and of Vietnam generally. They are made from environmentally friendly and locally available materials such as bamboo, wood, cloth, duckweed, etc. Each souvenir acts as a "brand ambassador" for VM-QTG.
The research, design and creation of unique souvenir products helps VM-QTG to strengthen the promotion of the monument’s values. This is also an important strategy to improve Hanoi’s quality as a tourist destination.
