THE SPEAKER OF THE PARLIAMENT OF SINGAPORE TO VISIT THE VĂN MIẾU – QUỐC TỬ GIÁM
Within the official visit to Vietnam from May 18 to 20, 2022, on May 20, 2022, the Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore, Mr. Tan Chuan - Jin and his wife visited the Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám.
The Speaker and his wife visited the ancient architectural works and listened to the introduction about the history of development of the relic. He expressed his impression and special interest in the 82 stone steles - the World Documentary Heritage, and highly valued the history of Vietnamese examinations.
Visiting the Thái Học area, in front of the altar to worship teacher Chu Văn An, Mr. Tan Chuan-Jin expressed his admiration for a great personality as Chu Văn An is a good example for generations of Vietnamese to follow.
Mr. Tan Chuan - Jin shared his thoughts in the guestbook: "Our people are our most precious resource and education is the key to moving our people and ultimately build our nation. Having monument such as this reflects how a society value their people and their growth and development "
