THE SPOUSE OF SECRETARY OF STATE MIKE POMPEO PAID A VISIT TO VĂN MIẾU – QUỐC TỬ GIÁM
On the morning of October 30, 2020, Mrs. Susan Pompeo, the spouse of the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Mrs. Nguyễn Nguyệt Nga, the spouse Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Phạm Bình Minh, visited Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám.
Mrs. Susan Pompeo and Mrs. Nguyễn Nguyệt Nga visited and listened toabout the history and culture of the relic. The two ladies were especially interested in Khuê Văn Các - the symbol of the Hanoi capital, 82 doctoral steles - World documentary heritage. Mrs. Susan Pompeo was very impressed with the green landscape and, ancient architectural works.
After the visit, Mrs. Susan Pompeo expressed her feelings inthrough the guestbook: "Such an amazing place to honor learning, discipline and study". She was also very impressed with the warm and thoughtful reception here.
