WORKSHOP ON LIVING CULTURAL HERITAGE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: FROM A PEOPLE-CENTERED APPROACH
On the occasion of the commemoration of Vietnam's Cultural Heritage Day on November 23, marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United Kingdom and Vietnam and the 30th anniversary of the British Council's presence in Vietnam, the British Council, in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Department of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, organized a seminar on the topic "Living Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development: From a People-Centric Approach" on December 1, 2023, at tVăn Miếu-Quốc Tử Giám
With the aim of exploring the intersection of intangible cultural heritage and sustainable development in Vietnam, the workshop "Living Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development: From a People-Centered Approach" is organized by the British Council in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Department, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, scheduled to take place on December 1st Văn Miếu-Quốc Tử Giám in Hanoi. The workshop will discuss the contributions of the community to the preservation of intangible cultural heritage and sustainable development in Vietnam. The program focuses on the role and participation of the community, providing a forum for exchanges among policymakers, experts, and practitioners of cultural heritage.
Within the framework of the workshop, there are also events taking place at the Thái Học area, the historical site of Văn Miếu-Quốc Tử Giám as follows:
