The art exhibition of Vietnamese calligraphy “Philosophy of Education through 82 Doctoral Laureates’ Stelae at Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam”
On the afternoon of September, 6, 2019 the art exhibition of Vietnamese calligraphy “Philosophy of Education through 82 Doctoral Laureates’ Stelae at Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam” took place at the Thai Hoc Courtyard of the Special National Landmark Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam.

The exhibition introduced visitors to 56 works by 11 authors who are members of Viet Tam But Calligraphy Club of the UNESCO Center for Culture and Sports Development.
Speaking at the exhibition opening, Mr. Bui Chinh Hung, Chairman of Viet Tam But Club, said, “The members studied the contents of the inscriptions of 82 doctoral laureates’ stelae at Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam. They selected the beautiful meaning sentences that contain the idea of teaching people, focus on fostering and choosing talented virtuous men to help the country of the brilliant kings”.
The works were exhibited in many forms and traditional materials such as Do paper and ceramic. The exhibition not only introduced unique calligraphy artworks, but also helped the public understand more about the typical value of the contents of the inscriptions of 82 doctoral laureates’ stelae at Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam.

During the exhibition, there were many activities taking place such as: calligraphy experience, introducing word game chess and calligraphy writing.
“This is one of the special exhibitions. Because the authors have shown the profound ideas of the intellectuals, the ancient Vietnamese academics on the philosophy of education that are inscribed on the doctor's stelae. Vietnamese calligraphy created unique paintings and artworks. This is a combination of calligraphy art with the world documentary heritage - the national treasure of 82 doctoral laureates’ stelae in Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam ”- Mr. Nguyen Van Tu, Deputy Director of the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, making the welcome speech.
The exhibition lasts until September 9, 2019 at Thai Hoc Courtyard of the Special National Landmark Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam.
