UNDERSTANDING MORE ABOUT THE FOUNDERS PAVING THE WAY FOR EDUCATION IN FEUDAL TIMES THROUGH THE EXHIBITION " PROLEGOMENON TO THE TRADITION OF EDUCATION IN VIETNAM " AT VĂN MIẾU – QUỐC TỬ GIÁM
On the afternoon of February 5, 2024, at the Thai Hoc Hall, a ceremony to inaugurate the exhibition " Prolegomenon To The Tradition Of Education In Vietnam " took place at Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám.
Now, visitors to the special national monument Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám will have the opportunity to admire this captivating permanent exhibition with over 300 artifacts, divided into 4 main sections of content introduced along the historical timeline to recreate the lives and contributions of King Lý Thánh Tông, King Lý Nhân Tông, King Lê Thánh Tông, teacher Chu Văn An, and influential figures such as Nguyên Phi Ỷ Lan, scholar Lê Văn Thịnh, Thân Nhan Trung, Lương Thế Vinh, and others.
The exhibition also connects its content with the exhibition " Quốc Tử Giám - The First National School," forming a coherent whole, helping the public better understand the history of the establishment and development of Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám and the results of the education system of Confucian examinations in Vietnam during feudal times.
"Prolegomenon To The Tradition Of Education In Vietnam " recreates a space of cultural heritage of eminent figures, a cultural product serving the needs of visitors to learn about the contributions of these figures to the country in terms of nurturing talent and sharing experiential lessons, along with stories that still hold value for today's society.
