ART PROGRAM “THE ÁO DÀI ON THE HERITAGE JOURNEY” AT VĂN LAKE
As part of the Thăng Long – Hà Nội Festival 2025, on the evening of November 2, the art program“The Áo Dài on the Heritage Journey” took place at Văn Lake, a site belonging to the Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám complex.
The event narrated a story of cultural continuity — connecting the sources of heritage from the ancient capital of Hoa Lư – Ninh Bình to Thăng Long – Hà Nội, and from the imperial city of Huế to the majestic Central Highlands.
This program served as one of the highlights of the Thăng Long – Hà Nội Festival 2025, directed by the Hà Nội Department of Culture and Sports and organised by the Centre for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám.
Attending the event were: Ms Nguyễn Thùy Anh, Member of the Central Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Policy and Strategy;
Mr Hoàng Đạo Cương, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism;
Ms Phạm Thị Thanh Mai, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Hà Nội People’s Council, and Deputy Head of Hà Nội’s National Assembly Delegation;
Ms Vũ Thu Hà, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Hà Nội People’s Committee;
Ms Bạch Liên Hương, Member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Hà Nội Department of Culture and Sports, together with female members of the National Assembly, leaders of ministries and city departments, scholars, artists, and creative individuals.
Through a series of poetic, graceful, and vibrant performances, each Áo Dài became an artistic message — honouring traditional beauty while vividly narrating stories of craftsmanship and regional heritage.
The program “The Áo Dài on the Heritage Journey” once again affirmed that the Áo Dài is a symbol linking the past and the present, highlighting its significance in contemporary life and its role in the preservation and promotion of Vietnamese cultural heritage.
Let us admire the most remarkable moments from the art performance night “The Áo Dài on the Heritage Journey.”
