REVIEW OF ACTIVITIES IN SEPTEMBER 2025 AT VĂN MIẾU - QUỐC TỬ GIÁM
The series of September events at Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám concluded with a wide range of activities, from art exhibitions, creative workshops, and heritage experiences to international exchanges. Each program contributed to promoting the historical and cultural values of the site, affirming the role of Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám as a leading cultural and educational destination – a bridge between past and present, heritage and the public.
Amid the nationwide celebrations of the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), more than 100 million hearts beat in unison with pride for the name VIETNAM.
Opening of the New Academic Year and Celebrating the Education Sector
On September 5, in harmony with the joy across the country, Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám extended its best wishes to all teachers and students on the opening of the 2025–2026 school year, while also marking the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam’s education sector.
TInternational Art Exhibition “Friendship – Amistad – Pagkakaibigan 2025”
On the afternoon of September 5 at the Thái Học House, artists from Vietnam, Spain, and the Philippines presented a colorful, humanistic visual journey. Within the framework of the exhibition, the public also joined a “Landscape and Portrait” workshop held at Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám.
Creative Art Workshops
On September 6 and 8, as part of the international art exhibition “Friendship 2025,” 24 artists from three countries participated in workshops on “Portrait and Landscape Painting.” Artist Lê Thanh introduced the technique of handmade rubber block printing, enabling participants to create unique artworks with personal imprints.
Contest: “Exploring Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám and Hải Phòng’s Cultural Heritage”
On the morning of September 12, at the national historic and architectural relic Đình Hàng Kênh (Lê Chân District, Hải Phòng City), the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities of Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám, in collaboration with the Hải Phòng Museum, successfully organized the contest “Exploring Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám and Hải Phòng’s Cultural Heritage.”
Book Launch: Poetry of Emperor Thiệu Trị – The Pinnacle of Literary Art
On the morning of September 14 at the Thái Học House, Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám, the Huế Fellow-Citizens Association in Hanoi (Huế Culture Club), and Thái Hà Books introduced the book Poetry of Emperor Thiệu Trị – The Pinnacle of Literary Art by Nguyễn Phước Hải Trung, Deputy Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center. During the launch, readers engaged in a dialogue with the author to explore the poetry of Emperor Thiệu Trị – a major literary figure of Vietnam’s royal court.
Delegation of Senior and Mid-level Officials from the Russian Federation Visits Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám
As part of their study and exchange program in Vietnam (September 15–19, 2025), on the afternoon of September 18, a delegation of senior and mid-level officials from the Russian Federation visited Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám, a Special National Relic.
Exhibition “Pride of the Nation”
On the afternoon of September 21, at the Bái Đường courtyard, the exhibition opened with 40 illustrations by 39 young artists, offering stories of pride about Vietnam’s people, culture, and identity. The exhibition created an inspiring artistic space, celebrating national pride through the lens of painting.
Heritage Photo Exhibition – “Heritage Journey 2025”
On September 25, the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities of Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám, in collaboration with Heritage Magazine (Vietnam Airlines), organized the award ceremony and photo exhibition opening, presenting emotional perspectives on heritage journeys.
