CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE SPRING CALLIGRAPHY FESTIVAL ẤT TỴ 2025

    On the afternoon of February 9, 2025 (the 12th day of the first lunar month in the year Ất Tỵ), the closing ceremony of the Spring Calligraphy Festival Ất Tỵ 2025 was held at Hồ Văn, the special national relic Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám. After 18 days of activities (from the 24th of the 12th lunar month in the year Giáp Thìn to the 12th of the first lunar month in the year Ất Tỵ), the Spring Calligraphy Festival 2025 left a deep impression on thousands of visitors who came to seek calligraphy for the new year.

    Attending the closing ceremony were Dr. Lê Xuân Kiêu - Director of Center of Cultural and Scientific Activities Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám; Deputy Directors of Center of Cultural and Scientific Activities Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám; Dr. Lê Trung Kiên - Headmaster of the Nhân Mỹ School; lecturers from Nhân Mỹ School; calligraphers; members of calligraphy clubs; and a large number of calligraphy art lovers.

    Speaking at the closing ceremony, Dr. Lê Xuân Kiêu – Director of Center of Cultural and Scientific Activities Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám shared: "The Spring Calligraphy Festival Ất Tỵ 2025 has been a great success. The preparation, organization, service, and communication efforts have contributed to the festival’s success. Especially this year, Hồ Văn has taken on a new look, providing the foundation for this success. The Spring Calligraphy Festival has truly become a gathering place, connecting people who are passionate about culture, wishing to bring joy to the people during our traditional Lunar New Year."

    The Spring Calligraphy Festival attracted not only calligraphers from the North but also participants from Central and Southern Vietnam. During the closing ceremony, 47 calligraphers who participated in the festival were presented certificates of recognition by the Organizing Committee.

    The Spring Calligraphy Festival Ất Tỵ 2025 concluded with numerous memorable moments and positive impacts in the early days of the new year. This year's festival also marked significant changes, aiming to establish an annual cultural event with meaningful significance for Hanoi during the Lunar New Year.

Dr. Lê Trung Kiên - Headmaster of Nhân Mỹ School, Deputy Head of the Spring Calligraphy Festival Ất Tỵ 2025 Organizing Committee, reports on the festival’s overall summary: "The Calligraphy Festival has been a great success, with an organized and respectful setup, the layout of spaces that align with beautiful, cultural, and civilized landscapes, ensuring safety, fire prevention, and meeting the festival’s requirements. The process of evaluating calligraphers was fair, transparent, and of high quality. For 2026, we plan to further enhance the professional value, administrative organization, and provide more cultural value to the public."
