OPENING THE EVENT "THE JOURNEY THROUGH THE PEN STROKES" AT TEMPLE OF LITERATURE
To honor the value of handwriting, on the morning of December 7, 2024, the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam, in collaboration with Pen Collectors, organized the event “The Journey Through the Pen Strokes” at Temple of Literature, a place that embodies the values of Vietnamese education.
Present at today’s event were Dr. Le Xuan Kieu – Director of the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam; Architect Le Thanh Vinh – Former Director of the Institute for Preservation of Monuments; Journalist Nguyen Thuy Hoa – Head of International Cooperation at Voice of Vietnam; Entrepreneur Le Quang – Pen Collector. Special guests included Educator Do Khoa; Educator Bui Xuan Trong and other pen collectors.
Dr. Le Xuan Kieu shared at the event, “This event is an opportunity for us to honor the beauty of handwriting culture, and also a reminder to everyone about the value of handwriting in modern life. A well-crafted pen stroke reflects the soul, character, and respect for knowledge. This is a value that transcends all eras – from scholars of the past with their brushes to today’s generation with fountain pens.”
