GALA DINNER OF THE 7TH HANOI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2024 (HANIFF) AT VĂN MIẾU - QUỐC TỬ GIÁM
As part of the events for the 7th Hanoi International Film Festival, the Gala Dinner was held on the evening of November 9, 2024, at Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám, hosted by the Hanoi People's Committee. The event aimed to introduce international filmmakers and artists to Vietnam's rich cultural heritage.
The event was attended by Mr. Tạ Quang Đông, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Mr. Nguyễn Mạnh Quyền, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee; representatives from the Central Propaganda Department; leaders of various departments, agencies, and institutes under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; representatives from the Hanoi People's Committee office, various Hanoi departments, organizations, and unions; representatives from the Vietnam Cinema Association; sponsors; directors, artists, and actors; as well as leaders from both domestic and international film production companies participating in the festival. Also present were members of the Steering Committee, Organizing Committee, Service Sub-committee, Jury, Advisory Committee, and the Film Selection Committee of the 7th Hanoi International Film Festival 2024.
With the theme "Cinema: Creativity – Taking Flight," the Hanoi International Film Festival 2024 seeks to establish a world-class event that reflects Vietnamese identity, where art and culture are celebrated and developed.
At the event, Mr. Nguyễn Mạnh Quyền, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, shared: "This event aims to enhance further the solidarity, friendship, and mutual understanding between the cultures of different countries and peoples around the world. We want to express our deep appreciation for the sincere enthusiasm and support from our international partners and friends for the people of Vietnam in general and for Hanoi, our cultural capital and city of peace, friendliness, and hospitality."
The 7th Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF VII) honors emerging cinema talents, showcases outstanding works from global film industries, and fosters connections and collaborations to promote development. It also aims to expand the Vietnamese film market and integrate it into the international film industry.
