EXPERIENCE THE FIRST POETRY WORKSHOP AT VĂN MIẾU – QUỐC TỬ GIÁM
To connect the poetry-loving community and provide new experiences, on the afternoon of June 15, Hà Nội FM, Magic of Color (MOC), and the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám collaborated to organize a Poetry Workshop in the Reading Room of the special national relic, Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám.
This is the first time the Poetry Workshop has been held in Hanoi and at the Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám site. The Workshop, which lasts 180 minutes, is not a one-time event. It's the start of a regular series, held on Saturday afternoons in the Reading Room under the sponsorship of the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám. This means that you can look forward to more enriching and exciting Poetry Workshops in the future!
Participants in the Workshop are in for a unique and exciting experience. They will have the opportunity to unleash their creative potential, delve into the world of poetry, share their own poetry in a new and engaging way, listen to fascinating introductions of poets and their works, and even get hands-on experience in writing poetry. What's more, they will be guided in the art of composing poetry, grinding ink, writing poems on dó paper, and crafting handmade items of their choice. It's a one-of-a-kind experience that you don't want to miss!
Each Workshop will introduce a different poet, including well-known poets and young, emerging poets with distinctive voices. This contributes to spreading the love of poetry in a youthful, modern way that remains close to the public.
Nguyễn Hoàng Kiên, the editor-in-chief of Hà Nội FM Podcast and the event host, shared more about this event: "Hà Nội FM is a podcast channel about Hanoi. I am very fond of poetry. Through the Poetry Workshop, the organizers hope to bring unique experiences and meaningful spiritual nourishment that carries the distinct flavor of this land of thousand-year-old cultural heritage. These activities aim to connect culture with poetry and deliver it to young people how they prefer. In the future, we will strive to optimize the content to provide more interesting experiences and aim to create an attractive new experience product at the Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám relic."
According to the organizers, the following Poetry Workshops will take place on Saturday, June 22, and Saturday, June 29, with the themes of Bùi Giáng and Xuân Quỳnh.
