THE SERIES OF EVENTS FOR THE THIRD OFFICIAL VIETNAM BOOK AND READING CULTURE DAY OFFICIALLY COMMENCED AT VĂN MIẾU - QUỐC TỬ GIÁM
On the evening of April 17th, at the special national landmark of Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám, the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Hanoi City People's Committee organized the Opening Ceremony of the Third Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day of 2024.
This year's Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day features various diverse activities and events aimed at honoring books and promoting the development of reading culture nationwide. It is also an occasion to honor exemplary collectives and individuals in publishing activities and the development of reading culture across media platforms, press, technology platforms, and social networks to spread the value of books and reading culture within the community, connect readers domestically and internationally, and contribute to building a spiritual and cultural life, promoting ethical values and the scholarly tradition of the nation.
The Third Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day is organized in a diverse and rich manner, combining traditional activities with modern organization methods following the development trend of technology platforms and digital transformation such as: Direct book fairs; Online book fairs on technology platforms; Combined direct and online book fairs; Cashless payment book fairs; exchanging accumulated customer reward points at some commercial banks for book gifts; combining media, promoting books and reading culture on electronic newspapers, and social networks.
From April 17th to April 21st, many events celebrating Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day will take place at Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám:
1. April 18th, 2024:

2. April 19th, 2024:

3. April 20th, 2024:
• Program to introduce the book set "Vo Nguyen Giap - General of the People" in 6 languages and the book "A Thousand Years of National Literature" of Vietnam (bilingual Vietnamese - English) Time: 09:30 Location: Thủy Đình Area - Văn Lake
• Seminar program and introduction of the book "Intellectual Property - Core of Innovation and Technology Transfer" Time: 13:30 Location: Thủy Đình Area - Văn Lake
