SPRING CALLIGRAPHY FESTIVAL 2023 AT VĂN MIẾU – QUỐC TỬ GIÁM
The Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám co-ordinated “Nhân mỹ học đường” calligraphy club and Longlink Vietnam LLC to organize “Spring calligraphy festival 2023” at Văn lake of Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám.
The spring calligraphy festival 2023 opened at Hanoi’s Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature – the first university in Vietnam) on January 15 to uphold the spirit of learning among younger generation and respect for educators.
Mrs. Trần Thị Vân Anh – Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports says the festival has made a comeback after a two year of hiatus caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, adding that it has been gradually shaping into a cultural event and attracting a large number of residents and tourists. Phương Đình and Kim Châu island have been reconstructed that creating a new look for Văn lake. The festival is playground for 50 calligraphers in Sino and Vietnamese creating the significant works bringing new hopes and dreams for the tourists.
The festival also draws the particitpation of skilled artisans from several traditional craft villages of silk, lacquer and ceramics.
Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy 40 calligraphy works from outstanding artisans in order to gain greater insights into the calligraphy art.
