Being at The Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam before exam day.
In the early morning hours at the Special National Landmark Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam, the sun shines brightly down on our ancienc constructions. Rays ofsunlight stream through branches of the banyan tree, and dance on the fresh green grlass. Morning light penetrates the roof of Khue Van Cac, shines on the stone steleas, and highlights the yellow dyed roof with dragon-tail tiles on Dai Thanh Sanctuary and , Bai Duong house.. Student after student comes to make offerings to show their respect to Sages and Saints. They are bright examples of our culture, following in the tradition of fondness of study, and the tradition of honoring and respecting their teachers . By participating in this ritual, they share their ambition and contributions for the next generation. Big Thai Hoc courtyard and Bai Duong courtyard are favourite places to take photosof of graduating senior students in Ao Dai, jackets, acadamic cap and gown.
