DELEGATION OF SENIOR AND MID-LEVEL OFFICIALS FROM THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION VISITS VĂN MIẾU – QUỐC TỬ GIÁM
On the afternoon of September 18, 2025, as part of their study and exchange program in Vietnam (September 15–19, 2025), a delegation of senior and mid-level officials from the Russian Federation visited the Special National Relic – Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám. The delegation comprised 35 officials from the Russian Federation and 10 officials from the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
During the visit, members of the delegation were introduced to the history of Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám, Vietnam’s first national university, with particular emphasis on the 82 Doctoral Steles, which honor laureates of the Lê and Mạc dynasties and are recognized by UNESCO as a World Documentary Heritage. The presentation helped the delegation gain deeper insights into Vietnam’s tradition of learning, its reverence for talent, and the preservation of valuable documentary heritage.
Mr. Nguyễn Văn Tú, Deputy Director of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám, welcomed the delegation on behalf of the Center and joined them for commemorative photos.
The Russian delegation also posed for group photos at the Khuê Văn Pavilion – a symbol of Hanoi.
On this occasion, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Tú presented books to Ms. Shafinskaia Natalia, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Development, Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), who served as Head of the Delegation.
At the conclusion of the visit, Ms. Shafinskaia Natalia expressed her deep appreciation for the historical values and conservation efforts at Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám. She also conveyed her hope to strengthen cultural and educational exchanges and cooperation between training institutions and heritage sites of the two countries.
