VĂN MIẾU – QUỐC TỬ GIÁM – AN ENDLESS SOURCE OF INSPIRATION
After the contest “Sketches of the Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám” had been launched, many students from fine art department and architect deparment of different universities and colleges in Hanoi who came to Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám to creat their own art works.

The students could have different emotions and inspirations for their works when they come to an ancient site. Some of them choose the unique constructions such as: Khuê Văn Các, Văn Miếu gate, Đại Trung gate, Đại Thành gate or the creatures (Dragon, Nghê, tortoise, phoenix…) to make their sketches. Some students were interested in 82 stone stele with various decorations and significant designs. They could choose the green place with a lot of sacred banian trees for the sketches. Ms Lê Hà the student from University of Architecture in Hanoi shared that: “My versy first impression is green and fresh space in Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám. I hope my sketch would be a present to thank all of staffs who working hard to make the site green and clear.”.

The constructions with unique arichitectural style and sacred banian trees and green grass in Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám, which became an endless resource of inpiration to creat art works for the students. The contest “Sketches of the Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám” was an opportunity for the students to creat their ideas, show their emotions to heritage.
