On March 13, 2018, Mr. Doncho Petrov Barbalov -Deputy Mayor of Sofia along with Mrs. Milka Hristova-Deputy Chairman of Municipal Council visited the Special National Vestige-Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam.
During the visit, Mr. Doncho Petrov Barbalov and Mrs. Milka Hristova listened to the history of the foundation and development of Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam, as well as, the innate desire of Vietnamese people to study and learn.

Particularly, Mr. Doncho Petrov Barbalov showed a special interest in traditional education practices and the examination process of Vietnam. He expressed appreciation of Vietnamese culture, education and talents over a period of approximately 1000 years.
As a gesture of appreciation for the visit, Mr. Doncho Petrov Barbalov signed the guest book and wrote: “Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam is for me, an unforgettable landmark, also a great place which clearly shows the desire for perfection among Vietnamese people.”

On leaving the site, Mr. Petrov Barbalov and Mrs. Milka Hristova wished the Center and all of the workers the best. Especially, Mr. Petrov Barbalov expressed his hope that Vietnamese fondness for learning and the practices of honouring talents continue to be held firm from generation to generation so that people all over the world would be able to learn more from that.
