In honor of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day(November 23), a competition entitled “The journey of Thang Long-Hanoi Heritage 2018” was organized at Thai Hoc Courtyard of the Special National Landmark, Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam on October 30, 2018. The competition was a good opportunity for the administrative units to meet and exchange their experience of what they are doing to conserve and to foster cultural values of their Relics.

The competition took place with the attendance of four teams. Included are teams from the Management of Relics and Tourist Attractions of Hanoi, the Management of Hoa Lo Prison Historical Relic, Hanoi Museum and The Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities. Each team had three members and they participated in three rounds.
The first round:
This round consisted of four sets of questions, each set includes 3 questions concerning intangible and tangible heritage of Hanoi. One team could choose only one set.
The second round:
This round consisted of four sets of questions, each set includes 3 questions concerning the policies of management, conservation and promotion of heritage value. Teams have to quickly ring a bell to win the right to answer the questions. For each correct answer, the team receives 10 points.
The third round:
The teams shared with the examiners and audience their experiences of what they are doing to manage, conserve and promote heritage values. Afterwards, teams answered a question given by one of the examiners on the topic they had shared.
After three intensive rounds, The Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities placed first, the Management of Relics and Tourist Attractions of Hanoi second, and Management of Hoa Lo Prison Historical Relic and Hanoi Museum third. In addition, Management of Hoa Lo Prison Historical Relic was awarded a second prize – the Impressive Prize.
